In the early 2000s, mixologists from all around pushed the limits of tradition by adding Sake into their cocktail creation.
Brotenders’ version of a Sake cocktail starts with a tart and fragrant Japanese Yuzu. Initial flavours of bittersweet fragrance fill the mouth, followed by the savoury umami taste of dry Sake blend with aromatic Dry Vermouth.
The consistent texture of the cocktail ends with a long-lasting aroma of succulent peaches.

If you up for something light to sip the night away, Sakamai is a perfect place to start. It is a Sake cocktail with a strong sweet initial taste. The sake only really comes in the aftermath. I loved the frangence of the Yuzu, the sweet savoury umami taste and a hint aromatic Dry Vermouth. These flavours really come together to give it that light but fragant taste.
